A complete set of the sixteen issues in the original tabloid format, being the retained file copies, comprisingBananas, the literary magazine. 1975-1979 Some inevitable browning given the tabloid format and paper quality, otherwise in excellent condition. Rare, especially thus Bananas was founded by its editor Emma Tenant (it was later edited by Abigail Mozeley) with Julian Rothenstein responsible for production and design and Elaine Feinstein and Max Egremont as advisory editors. The many literary contributors included Heathcote Williams. J.G. Ballard (including the first version of his short story The Air Disaster, significantly different from its first appearance in book form), Ted Hughes, Barry Miles, Ian McEwan, Ruth Fainlight, Sylvia Plath, Harold Pinter, Philip Roth, Beryl Bainbridge and Angela Carter, whilst artwork was supplied by Jim Dine, Derek Boshier, Michael Rothenstein and Kirill Sokolov.
