Attractive modern commemorative embossed medal or coin of silver-coloured metal with reeded edge, the obverse with an outer green band with the words “Samuel Taylor Coleridge 1772-1834, Born in Otterly St Mary” in silver, and “Poet, Philosopher and Theologian” over the portrait of Coleridge, the reverse with “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner” and a relief image showing the ship at sea, a crescent moon and the albatross

Coleridge (Samuel Taylor).           In fine condition in original circular plastic case and blue leather presentation box  This was designed and produced by the Coleridge Memorial Trust. 250 copies were produced. The Trust was, from 2017, successfully fundraising for a life-size statue of Coleridge for St Mary’s church in Otterly. Recipients were asked to pledge five hundred pounds in order to receive the coin.
