Aesop’s Fables.   Copper-engraved additional title-page, vignette to letterpress title, folding portrait frontispiece, torn without loss, head- and tailpieces, initials and 18 plates each bearing six illustrations each within in a circular border Franciscus Halma, Amsterdam,  1701  Title printed in red and black  4to Contemporary panelled vellum ruled and with central ornament to sides in blind, spine with raised bands and lettered leather label Vellum rather soiled, spine with traces of a label removed at the foot, some spotting and soiling internally and a few minor tears, nevertheless a more than acceptable copy of an extremely attractively illustrated edition; small library label and an old, possibly contemporary but illegible ownership inscription on front pastedown
