Gautier (Théophile)  Title-vignette, head- and tailpiece, title printed in red and black Alphonse Lemerre, Paris,  1890    Small 8vo Contemporary full green morocco, sides with gilt fillet and roll, spine lettered and ruled in gilt, sides and spine with roses of gilt stems and gilt heads with red morocco onlays, gauffered edges decorated with ribbons and long stems with flowers and leaves and the words “Donné par l’Amitié”, turn-ins elaborately gilt with fillets and rolls, cream watered silk end-papers, multi-coloured silk bookmark, by E. Dreyfous Spine and upper cover sunned losing green tint, preliminary and final blanks and half-title browned, but a very nice copy with unusual and highly detailed gauffering
